Toch wordt muziek nog lang niet standaard aangeboden in de zorg. Over dit onderwerp hebben Emy van der Valk Bouman en Antonia Becker een artikel mogen schrijven in het Nederlands Tijdschrift voor Geneeskunde (NTvG). Hierin verkennen we hoe muziek het beste in de praktijk kan worden toegepast, met aandacht voor muziekkeuze, toedieningsvorm en factoren die implementatie kunnen bevorderen. Het NTvG is een algemeen medisch tijdschrift dat wordt gelezen door Nederlandse artsen van alle specialismen en andere medische professionals. Via deze publicatie hopen we het onderwerp Muziek als Medicijn meer onder de aandacht te brengen en een stap te zetten richting bredere toepassing in de klinische praktijk.
